"Attention to detail is my strength and I love how each client has a unique style and inspiration for their special day. I truly enjoy taking that inspiration and creating a 'dream come true' event." - Laura Murphy, Owner
I have always had a love for flowers. McKenna Floral began with the encouragement from family and friends to turn my creative hobby into something more. Named after my personal creative inspiration, my daughter, McKenna. It gives me such joy to bring a client’s dream to life through the beauty of flowers.
I received my initial floral design training at Golden West College. I became a California Certified Florist in 2013 and a Certified Floral Designer with the American Institute of Floral Designers in 2015. I continue to refine my techniques and stay on top of the latest floral trends by attending industry events and workshops across the country.
I am dedicated to providing my clients with the finest and freshest florals along with a seamless one-of-a-kind experience from our first consultation to the day of the event. “It’s all in the details” and my impeccable attention to meaningful details is what my client’s value most.
"Meeting Laura and hiring McKenna Floral to be our wedding florist was definitely one of the best decisions I made while planning my own wedding. With all of the other crazy details to sort out, it was such a blessing to have someone as professional, knowledgeable, and talented as Laura handling the flowers. When I came to Laura, I had a good idea of what my vision was for the overall wedding, but I was drawing a blank when it came to bouquets and centerpieces - but I knew for sure I didn't want anything "run-of-the-mill". Laura took my vision and some of the smaller details of my wedding and ran with them - incorporating these details into the centerpieces in unique and surprising ways. Laura even used a new idea she had picked up recently at a trade show so that the driftwood pieces I had could display my iron table numbers! " - Pamela C.
